Cooperation with plugilo connects editorial expertise and authorised manufacturer data for retailers, kitchen studios and planners

Professional information is changing – and so is the way it is found and used. Increasingly, research no longer begins on a website or in a personal conversation, but with a question addressed to an artificial intelligence system.

küchennews and KÜCHENhandel are responding to this development by launching a cooperation with the technology company plugilo. The aim is to make quality-assured industry information and authorised manufacturer data available within AI-powered information and advisory processes.

Through this cooperation, the two specialist media brands of Interieur Verlag want to help ensure that information from the kitchen industry remains transparent, up to date and based on identifiable sources in the age of artificial intelligence. Editorial content, market information and official manufacturer data will be connected in a way that enables users to reach reliable answers more quickly while always retaining access to the original source.

The technological foundation of the cooperation is provided by plugilo’s platform. In the future, “pluggy” is intended to become an AI-powered advisory assistant based on approved manufacturer information and editorial content.

pluggy will support specialist retailers, kitchen studios and planners in their research, help them understand and assess product information, and provide easier access to relevant background knowledge. It is not intended to replace personal advice from manufacturers or retailers, but to complement it in a meaningful way.

“Our role as a specialist media organisation is to provide orientation and identify important developments at an early stage,” says Stefanie Willach, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of küchennews and KÜCHENhandel. “As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly important in the search for information, we want to help ensure that quality-assured specialist information and authorised manufacturer data are available wherever they are needed. At the same time, our editorial independence will remain completely unaffected.”

Michael Mohr, founder and CEO of plugilo, also sees the cooperation as an important step: “Advisory-intensive sectors such as the kitchen industry and kitchen retail require AI systems that are based on reliable and transparent sources. Together with küchennews and KÜCHENhandel, we want to help bring quality-assured information directly into digital advisory processes.”

The first functions of the cooperation are already available on the küchennews website. Using the plug symbol, readers can easily save or share individual articles and pieces of information. Within so-called Stacks, content can be collected, organised and shared according to each user’s individual interests.

In the future, pluggy will add AI-powered advisory capabilities to these functions. This will allow editorial industry knowledge and approved manufacturer information to be connected directly and used to answer specific questions.

Through this cooperation, küchennews, KÜCHENhandel and plugilo are also inviting manufacturers, associations and other market participants to engage at an early stage with the question of how official product and company information should be used within future AI-powered information and advisory processes.

The shared objective is to enable artificial intelligence to access current, transparent and authorised sources wherever possible – rather than relying on incomplete, copied or outdated information from the internet.

In the future, pluggy will support specialist retailers, kitchen studios and planners as an AI-powered advisory assistant. Its advice will be based on quality-assured editorial content and approved manufacturer information.
